A pleasant community with a historic downtown framed by rolling hills

Carver is a quaint-but-growing community located along the Minnesota River southwest of Minneapolis. This peaceful community surrounded by rolling hills with bluff views is just a little over a half-hour outside of the urban center. It offers a suburban, semi-rural respite from the big city. With a charming historic downtown, there was once a Native American Wahpeton village here. The area takes its name from the explorer Jonathan Carver, who explored the area in the 1760s. Many historically significant homes and buildings were successfully preserved, blessing the town with a lovely historic district. Large and sprawling ranch-style homes are prevalent in the area.

There are some fun local events and there is a lot of green space to get out and enjoy fresh air nearby. The town is known for being a great place to enjoy living in peace and quiet with a small-town feel and friendly neighbors, while not being far away from the urban centers of the Twin Cities.
